We, the MEPs participating in the Progressive Caucus in the European Parliament, have the pleasure to invite you to our upcoming event in Brussels, as an opportunity to discuss and address the challenges Europe faces today, and the role the left, progressive, democratic and ecological forces need to engage.
We, as the Progressive Caucus, represent a space of dialogue based on confidence-building and open debate inside the European Parliament. All of us, Members from three political groups (S&D, GUE/ NGL, Greens/ EFA), expect to analyze differences and build bridges between progressive allies in the European institutions, and across Europe.
Progressive Caucus is open to everyone in the European Parliament standing for solidarity, democracy, social justice and sustainability.
Focused on our aim to promote the above values we would like to invite you to our initiative for an open dialogue between us. To overcome divisions and share our common visions. To enhance our common actions and fights. This dialogue is more than ever needed, especially now that Europe is facing the challenges of austerity, the consequences of failed, neoliberal economic models on the daily life of the citizens, the continuous threats to the democratic rights, the challenge of welcoming immigrants and refugees, the climate change. Now that Europe needs more than ever the united actions of the progressive, left, ecological and social forces.
Beyond some divisions, we want to continue to dialogue and share our proposals to fight for our progressive priorities: sustainable development, fair growth, cohesion policies, transparency, democracy, peace policies. Against the current «solutions», which generate inequalities, injustice, tax evasion, which favour the rights of a few.
We, the Progressive Caucus, have the pleasure to invite you to our event «The European Integration in front of new challenges – The role of Progressive Forces», on the 27th of November 2018, at 17.00, in the European Parliament in Brussels (ASP 1G2).
